Open Evening - Come and Join us on Friday 7th October!

In March this year, our Musical Director Chris stepped down after 17 years conducting the choir. The choir has been on hold for the past few months but we are now delighted to have appointed a new interim Musical Director, Marcus Pashley, and our regular Friday night rehearsals will recommence from September. Marcus is a very experienced choral director and both he and the choir are excited to see what we can achieve together.

We sing a wide variety of choral music from 16th Century sacred pieces, to modern day popular music and everything in between. Most of our singing is acapella.

We are actively recruiting new members and as part of our recruitment drive we are holding an open evening on Friday 7th October at our usual rehearsal venue, Anslow Village Hall, Main Road, Anslow, DE13 9QH from 8pm-10pm. This will be an informal evening to meet choir members, other potential new members, have a drink and some nibbles, meet our MD Marcus, and most importantly, have a sing together. This is an ideal opportunity to come and have a look at the choir and see what we are about with absolutely no obligation to continue.

We are extending a personal invitation to you to join us at our open evening and we would be delighted if you are able to come along. If you know anyone else who would be interested to join the choir, please feel free to bring them along or pass on the details.

We would love to see you for what we hope would be a very relaxed and enjoyable evening. Please RSVP via the website contact form on the Contact Us page, or via Facebook messenger, so that we can be sure to buy enough drinks!

If you are interested in joining the choir but are unavailable for the open evening, please do get in touch and we will be delighted to arrange for you to come along on another date.

Yours sincerely,

Members of Friday Voices
